Analysis of China's LED lighting market development trends
Mainland China is the world's major LED lighting exporter. According to customs statistics, a total of 201.8 billion LEDs were exported in 2014, with an export value of US$4.77 billion (accounting for 42.5% of local LED production and sales), a year-on-year increase of 222.4% and 37.5% respectively. It is expected that LED exports will increase by about 35% and 32% respectively in 2015 and 2016, and exports will reach US$6.4 and 8.5 billion (see the figure below).
Customs statistics show that in 2014, mainland China imported 141 billion LED lighting products, a year-on-year increase of 85.5%; the import value was US$6.17 billion, a year-on-year increase of 14.0%. It is expected that imports will continue to grow by about 10% in 2015-2016, reaching US$6.9 and US$7.6 billion respectively

In 2014, the LED lighting market size in mainland China increased by 14.4% year-on-year, reaching US$12.62 billion. Among them, the import value was US$6.17 billion, accounting for 48.9% of market demand. The market size is expected to grow at a rate of more than 13% this year and next, exceeding US$14 billion and US$16 billion respectively (see figure below). ,
